“Welcome to our life long dream.” It seemed like every old house we drove by over the years we would envision how it would work as a bed and breakfast. For years that dream was “way out of reach”. But as you can tell we are now living our “dream”.

Here is a little about us. Loree was a stay at home mom while raising our two great kids. They each now have families of their own. Our son and his wife have four children and live in MA. While our daughter and her husband, along with two children live in NH, both just far enough away for day trips to visit us.

After the kids moved on, we rented out their rooms to college students for several years, not unlike a B&B, just longer stays. While doing this Loree was a Director of Christian Education at a fairly large church. There she encouraged a volunteer staff of over 100, on an ongoing basis. Once she retired she “turned to her hobbies of stained glass and quilting, an “expert” in all the above.

As for me, I worked in the corporate world for the world’s largest copying company for 25 years and when the right offer came along we took the money and ran (to Maine). Over the past years Loree and I traveled, going to places like Albania, Nicaragua, Nigeria, India and Ukraine.  All along the way hospitality was offered to us so in some small way we offer the same to you.

Freeport is a great little village in which to operate a B&B. It attracts people from around the world, is a great area from which to do day trips and see the local Maine coastline, and eat great sea food. The shopping isn’t bad either with LL Bean’s flagship store within walking distance from our front door.
