"Quilting Bee"
January 24, 25, 2009  2nd Annual
Set up your own dates !
Kendall Tavern B&B is a wonderful backdrop for a romantic getaway,
but what if you want to spend a weekend with friends doing something you all love?
Meet new "friends" or bring along the "old" ones. Share conversation all the
while you're quilting. If you are "learning" you will have lots of help. We are trying
to bring together a group of women (6 to 17) for a weekend of Quilting with no
interruptions and no need to put away everything between bursts of energy.
Enjoy the serene 1832 farmhouse ambiance while you work undisturbed on
long-neglected quilting project. Your "bee" begins with Friday check-in from
3:00-7:00 pm, and will then include:
  • A demonstration of helpful tips and innovative ideas from Cotton Weeds Quilt Shop, Friday evening;
  • Several tables and floor space to spread out work and equipment;
  • Shop the outlet stores in your free time...LL Bean is open all night!
  • Plus a trip to Lewiston or Bath to xxxx stores if you "need" more "honey" fabric!
  • Bring your machine and /or  your hoops
  • A minimum of 6 and a maximum of 14 to make this work well at the Kendall
  • If there is enough call for the barn, we will heat it for the groups.
The "bees" will run from Friday check-in to Sunday at 11:00 am. Work all day
and night if you'd like, but plan to break for a fun once in a while!!
Friday 3 pm - Sunday 11 am (a 2 night stay)
